The 20-year-old Nigeria international is believed to have had a row with Moyes during training on Tuesday as the Toffees were preparing for the 211th Merseyside derby, when Everton face a fourth-round replay with Liverpool at Goodison Park.
Anichebe told Moyes to 'f*** off' before being escorted away, but the Everton youngster was the one on the receiving end as Goodison's long-serving boss poured out his venom over an attitude that has been causing concern at the club for months.
The powerfully-built target man is described as being arrogant on the surface without having the deep-rooted self-belief to carry it off.
With injures virtually wiping out Everton's strikeforce this season, Moyes has repeatedly turned to him to lead the line but become increasingly exasperated with his inability to respond, either through minor fitness problems or poor form.
