Chelsea left back, Ashley Cole will determine where to play next season as eight clubs has keen to secure the former left-back signature upon the expiry of his contract at Chelsea. Cole, 33 , confirmed he does not extending his eight-year career at Stamford Bridge after his contract end on 30 June 2014. Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho hoped to extend his contract for further 12 months but there remains a slim chance.

Monaco will be one of the elite clubs that needed Cole services to compete with rivalled Paris Saint Germain. There also an interest from Real Madrid while clubs in Major League Soccer are also monitoring the situation. Cole has retired from international football earlier this month following his failure to be include at England squad for 2014 World Cup. The full-back initially hampered by a rib injury, lost his place in the first team to Cesar Azpilicueta towards the end of last year and was reduced to a bit-part role thereafter. - THe Guardian

After transfer rumor to Arsenal, Chelsea grab the opportunity to sign winger from Valencia, Juan Mata.Chelsea have released a statement via their website:

"An agreement has been reached with Valencia CF for the transfer to Chelsea of midfielder Juan Manuel Mata. The move is now subject to the player passing a medical and agreeing personal terms."
Mata joined Valencia from Real Madrid in 2007 and has emerged as one of their most important players. He was a part of the Spain squad which won the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and was also a key man this summer as Spain won the Under-21 European Championship in Denmark.

Zhirkov move to BPL

Chelsea have completed the signing of Russian international Yuri Zhirkov from CSKA Moscow for a reported £18m fee.

The 25-year-old completed his medical in London on Monday and has agreed a four-year deal, believed to be worth £80,000-a-week.

Zhirkov, who was hugely impressive at Euro 2008, can play on the left wing or at left-back and was given a ringing endorsement by temporary Blues boss Guus Hiddink, who has since returned to his job as coach of the Russian national team.

Former Manchester United and Everton winger Andrei Kanchelskis, famed for his direct running and mazy dribbling style, believes Chelsea's first major transfer of the summer; Yuri Zhirkov, will make a big impact in the Premier League.

Chelsea faces punishment

UEFA will decide "in the course of next week" what disciplinary action to take against Chelsea for their behaviour toward the referee after Wednesday's contentious Champions League semi-final against Barcelona.
The Blues had four penalty claims turned down during the 1-1 draw, which saw Barcelona through to the final, and European football's governing body confirmed on Friday that they had received match reports from referee Tom Henning Ovrebo and their match delegate detailing the angry scenes that followed the final whistle.

Four Chelsea players could face individual charges.
Didier Drogba is facing the stiffest sanction following his lengthy confrontation with Ovrebo on the pitch and in the tunnel, although his public apology may lessen any punishment.

Michael Ballack could also be charged for running 40-yards to confront the Norwegian referee after the fourth penalty appeal was turned down during the game - an act for which he was yellow-carded.

Chelsea full-back José Bosingwa faces sanctions for describing the official as a "thief" who was "bought", although he has since retracted those comments, while skipper John Terry also criticised Ovrebo as emotions ran high at the end of the semi-final.

Chelsea beats Arsenal 2-1 to reach FA Cup final on May 30.

Theo Walcott gave Arsenal an 18th-minute lead at Wembley and Florent Malouda tied it in the 32nd. Drogba broke away on the winning goal and Frank Lampard drove a high ball behind the Arsenal defense from deep in his own half.


Despite an array of attacking talent on show in front of 88,000 spectators, the match was unspectacular throughout on an unreliable and bobbly Wembley surface.

And rather than the brilliance of Drogba, Nicolas Anelka, Cesc Fabregas or Robin van Persie, the game will be remembered for defensive errors, none-more-so than from second-choice Arsenal goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski.

The result means the Blues march into the FA Cup final again, and are still on to win the domestic and European treble, a remarkable achievement considering Hiddink has only been in charge of the team for a couple of months.

Ashley COle arrested

CHelsea defender, Ashley Cole was arrested in the early hours of Thursday morning for being drunken and disorderly following a Chelsea charity party at The Armani Store.

Reports claim the left-back swore at police after leaving the Collection nightclub on Brompton Road, South Kensington, leading to his arrest.

The 28-year-old,was arrested on Brompton Road at about 2.15am on Thursday.
The footballer, who is paid £82,000 a week, was held for three hours and then issued with an £80 fixed penalty notice for being drunk and disorderly and allowed to go home.

Cole had spent a night drinking at the Collection bar and restaurant in Brompton Road, Chelsea, and had earlier been pictured at a nearby charity event with ex GMTV presenter Fiona Phillips.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: "At about 2.15am today, a man was arrested in Brompton Road, South Kensington, on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly and taken to a central London police station where he was later issued with a fixed penalty notice for being drunk and disorderly and released at 5.37am."

Chelsea confirm Hiddink appointment

Chelsea have confirmed that Guus Hiddink will take control of the club on a temporary basis until the end of the season.

The 62-year-old Russia coach, who replaces Brazilian Luiz Felipe Scolari after his sacking on Monday, will meet the Chelsea players later this week.Chelsea's Russian owner Roman Abramovich made Hiddink his primary target following the club's decision to dismiss Scolari and used his close ties with the Russian FA to broker a deal.

The Dutchman takes over from Luiz Felipe Scolari after the Brazilian was sacked as Chelsea's manager on Monday following a run of results which saw the Blues drop down to fourth in the Premier League table, seven points behind leaders Manchester United.

It's a latest gossip..Robinho will go to Chelsea??
The News of the World reports Chelsea boss Luiz Felipe Scolari is determined to land Robinho and even attempted to do a deal in the transfer window only to be rebuffed by City boss Mark Hughes.
Chelsea are reported to have attempted a swap deal to bring Robinho to Stamford Bridge with £27m-rated Drogba moving in the opposite direction.
The Blues would then pay City a further £6m to get their man but Hughes is understood to be more interested in signing Blackburn’s Roque Santa Cruz rather than Drogba.

It was thought Robinho could seek an escape this winter, following his infamous abandonment of a training camp in Tenerife recently, but Eastlands boss Mark Hughes has rubbished those rumors.

Manchester City completed the signing of England defender Wayne Bridge from Chelsea on Saturday for an undisclosed fee rumoured to be about 12 million pounds.
The 28-year-old left back passed his medical examination and agreed to a 4 1/2-year contract that British papers have suggested could make him the highest paid fullback in the world.

Bridge started just 74 Premier League games since joining Chelsea in July 2003, with his chances particularly limited after the Blues signed Ashley Cole from Arsenal in August 2006. The transfer to City, financed by the club's wealthy Arab owners, should give him regular games to help him challenge Cole for his spot in the England team.
